Bernhard Bamert

Bernhard Bamert was born in Wettingen and took up the trombone at the age of 11. After training as a graphic designer, he opted for a career in music. A graduate of the Swiss Jazz School in Bern, he has played with a range of well-known formations including the Zurich Jazz Orchestra, the Martin Streule Jazz Orchestra, Kaspar Ewald's Exorbitantes Kabinett, the Joe Haider Jazz Orchestra, mats-up, Swinging Europe 2000, Generations Big Band 2002, Grand Mother's Funck, Herbie Kopf's Nonet U.F.O., the Adrian Frey Septet and the Swiss Jazz Orchestra. He has taught jazz trombone at “ Musikhochschule Zürich” since 2006.
