During his school years, Peter Zihlmann received lessons in classical music, but soon got interested in popular music and improvisation. After finishing high school he studied piano and vocals at the Musikhochschule in Lucerne. After further studies in classical piano and composition in Amsterdam he is now working as a freelance musician in various fields between jazz and theatre and teaches piano at the PHZ Luzern.
